6th Grade Art

This is a new page for my 6th grade Art students.

Welcome to ART!!

I am so excited to start this year. We are going to have a lot of fun in art. I have a lot new ideas for projects this year and I am going to try some new things out. We are really going to focus on teaching appropriate behaviors and finding our creative edge. But mostly we are going to introduce you to many different art medias (materials) and art processes. Hopefully you will find that you are less scared of drawing and creating and are ready to be creative thinkers.

Our first project will focus on you. We will think about all the wonderful things that relate to you and make a personally focused piece of art. We will be talking about a form of art called Typography and how words can make art. We also be talking about observation.

Our second project is going to teach you all about nature and fall. We will learn a few new art medias and art making processes. We will make connections between English and art.
