Homework

THIS IS A SILLY PAGE - THERE'S NO HOMEWORK IN ART!!!

From time to time you may have something that you will have to take home or bring in from home. However almost always there is NO HOMEWORK IN ART!

If you would like to refine your skills practice is the best way to do this. There is always a reward for practice, I'd love to see what you are practicing at home.

1st you could check out these websites:
This is an awesome site that has tons of how to draw videos that student centered and safe. You will not find inappropriate drawing videos on here, this site is created for teachers and students and is the perfect place for students to explore. There is a place to share your artwork. However there are rules for posting as it has to be appropriate for all audiences and swearing is prohibited. Be careful there's also an artsnacks.co -which is where you can sign up for a delivery of top of the line art supplies but the community on this one isn't necessarily created only for students, you may find drawings not suited for middle school students on the alternative site.

Youtube is a great place to find how to videos for anything. If you are looking for how to draw videos, Shoo Rayner has great how to draw videos on his itunes channel. Even though Rayner's videos are perfect for the middle school student you will find that sometimes on YouTube inappropriate images and videos will pop up in the advertisements and in the feed. You can also try YouTube Kids in the app store (but this can be limited to little kids) or teacher tube which limit the inappropriate videos and ads.

Instructables in another great place to learn how to do anything. They actually have an itunes ap which is really nice to have on your ipad. Again this is a public forum so inappropriate things can come up but I find that it is more rare on this site than on Youtube. There are also awesome things to build that follow the makers movement and if you are taking Mr. Leech's Design Tech they are cool projects to build for that class.

2nd, Check out my web page's list to art resources GeislerArtRoom on here there's a list of competitions and classes that you can take that will also help you grow as an artist.

GOOD LUCK and make sure to show me all of your work you do at home

Mrs. Tillman
